Happycall.......3

I recently went online trying to learn more about Happycall...well, we don't just happen to know about certain products, sometimes we spent hours, days, weeks, months or even years to learn about our products...:)

I came across a customer's blog, giving her view on Happycall.

How I wish I could explain to her personally why Happycall is different from what she has bought. Many customers commented about the fact that they probably could not afford Happycall because of the price, we understood and respect that but it is a misconception to feel that what she has bought is more or less the same.

The quality of non- stick quoting is very important when it comes to buying a non stick product. Happycall is using ceramic titanium quoting, not Teflon. We have another brand-Scanpan( Denmark), at least 50% more expensive than Happycall uses ceramic titanium quoting as well.

What I am trying to say here is that as a consumer, you have the right to know what you are buying.... Ask questions. You will be using the products and for goodness sake, you will be cooking your foods with the products. What non- stick quoting? If the products use Teflon, What Teflon quoting? Classic? Select? Platinum? Die cast? What is die cast? What about Stainless steel? Hard Anodized? Even Tefal.... There are many different qualities and grades. And trust me, the low quality Tefal stick if you do not know how to care about the product.

A trusted brand usually gives us better assurance on the quality of the products but you still need to know what you are paying for, isn't it? I am not saying that non branded products are bad products, but really, please ask the salesperson what exactly you are paying for.

Despite all these issues, I am glad that Happycall continues to be doing well......I guess more and more customers realized about the benefits of owning a genuine Happycall and I thank you those who are giving themselves a chance to experience the products.

HappyCall - Our explanation to Anonymous

Dear Anonymous,

First of all, thank you very much for letting us know this important piece of information about HappyCall.
We called our supplier who is the only authorised distributor in Singapore and Malaysia, relating your concern to them. They told us that there are several imitations of Happycall double pans and Alumite pots in the market currently. Some selling online, some at smaller dealers. It happens in Singapore also at the moment and they are taking legal actions against them now.

It is not fair to say that all those selling online are imitations as we do not see the actual products.  We wanted to order the HappyCall from the website you stated unfortunately they have run out of stocks. If they are the real authorised distributor of this product, there is no way they will run out of them. Let's wait until they start selling again as this will be the only way to find out more about their products.

We wish that people who have bought from this website would share about their experience of using HappyCall with us.

Whatever it is, we are more than happy to disclose our authorised distributor to you privately and we are sure they could give you a better explanation for the whole situation about HappyCall in Singapore and Malaysia.

Our pledge to you is that we in no way are making crazy profit margin from selling HappyCall and our mark ups are based on our final imported duty free costing.

We wish to have more customers like yourself who took time to tell us where we might have overlooking. Thank you very much for your feedback and we really hope that we could get more information from our supplier and probably give you a better explanation from there.

Yours faithfully,
The Management of Wira Langkawi S/B

Just Crazy.....

It has been quite a while......

Well....the good news is Visions, Corningware, Corelle's prices are still low, in fact they went lower since my last report on the products. Having said that, price war is still on....and it does not only affect the above products, Benedictine DOM cannot escape this misfortune too during this school holiday.

Our new addition to the department, Happycall from Korea. Very interesting concept and cookware and doing extremely well at the moment.

We will try to sell our chocolates at a more competitive price this year. If you can't fight them, join them. Do check out our Chocolates range when you happen to drop by. For the thousands times, we are just behind Langkawi Saga....:-)

Weather wise, windy and raining on and off otherwise as hot as the weather in November till February.

Weather Update Feb 2012

Scorching hot during day time....temperature Mid 30

Rains starting around 7pm almost every night...just crazy when we thought this is gonna bring the temperature down a bit...well it does not...instead it brings up the humidity.....so the equation becomes hot + humid = Langkawi's current weather.

Price war of Corningware, Visions and Corelle continue.....

The 10% to 13% discount of the above products are still going on...real life problems with oligopoly market. We can write a thesis on how the system works and be 'proud' about it.... The brands will be hurt.... I wonder if the principal got this message?

The Calling....2012

Time has moved faster than we have thought...

2012..Wow..and Chinese New Year to follow next..
2012..I know we will strive to continue to serve you better...

We will also slowly move away from mass market as far as merchandising is concerned.

Latest addition to our store is SILIT from Germany.

We have also started to expand our range in SCANPAN (Denmark) and BERNDES (Germany).....

As for TEFAL....we always work with our supplier to give us Mid to Higher end ranges which promise durability. The next time when you walk into the shop, please check the model carefully...our price might be higher due to the different range that we are carrying...

Having said all the above, we nevertheless do keep some "mass market" range products. You can find them in ASD, MEYER, SUPOR...etc

We will continue to update you with more in the month to come....

ENJOY and HAPPY 2012
